บริษัท ผลิตไฟฟ้าขนอม จำกัด (KEGCO) ได้ดำเนินกิจกรรม “Khanom Power Learning” ภายใต้โครงการ One Section, One Project โดยมุ่งเน้นการส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษให้กับนักเรียนระดับชั้น ป.1 และ ป.2 ห้อง English Program อย่างต่อเนื่องในสัปดาห์ที่ 6 โดยร่วมบูรณการกิจกรรมในรายวิชาเรียนว่ายน้ำ ของโรงเรียนชุมชนบ้านบางโหนด

กิจกรรมนี้จัดขึ้น ณ สระว่ายน้ำชลนภารีสอร์ท อำเภอขนอม จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อให้นักเรียนได้เรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการว่ายน้ำและการขอความช่วยเหลือเพื่อป้องกันอุบัติเหตุทางน้ำ

นอกจากทักษะการว่ายน้ำที่นักเรียนได้รับแล้ว สิ่งสำคัญที่กิจกรรมนี้มอบให้คือการฝึกฝนคำศัพท์และประโยคที่จำเป็นในการขอความช่วยเหลือในสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉิน ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์อย่างยิ่งหากต้องเผชิญเหตุการณ์ในสถานที่ที่มีชาวต่างชาติ ช่วยให้นักเรียนสามารถช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบภัยทางน้ำได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

กิจกรรม Khanom Power Learning ถือเป็นการต่อยอดจากโครงการดี ๆ ที่จัดขึ้นเป็นประจำทุกปีของโรงไฟฟ้าขนอม ร่วมกับสถานีตำรวจน้ำ4 กองกำกับการ6 กองบังคับการตำรวจน้ำ อ.ขนอม คือ “โครงการตำรวจน้ำสอนน้องว่ายน้ำ” ซึ่งมีเป้าหมายหลักในการลดการสูญเสียชีวิตจากอุบัติเหตุการจมน้ำ และเพิ่มทักษะการว่ายน้ำให้กับเด็กและเยาวชนในพื้นที่อำเภอขนอมอย่างต่อเนื่อง

Khanom Power Plant Promotes English Skills and Water Safety for Youth

On Monday, September 1, 2025, Khanom Electricity Generating Co., Ltd. (KEGCO) carried out the “Khanom Power Learning” activity as part of its “One Section, One Project” initiative. The program, now in its sixth consecutive week, focuses on enhancing English language skills for first and second-grade students in the English Program at Chumchon Ban Bang Nod School by integrating it into their swimming lessons.

The event was held at the Chonnapha Resort swimming pool in Khanom District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. The main objective was to teach students English vocabulary related to swimming and how to ask for help to prevent water accidents.

In addition to developing their swimming skills, the students learned essential vocabulary and phrases for seeking help in emergencies. This knowledge is particularly valuable as it enables them to assist water accident victims, especially in areas with foreign tourists.

The “Khanom Power Learning” activity is a follow-up to the annual “Marine Police Teach Kids to Swim” project, a long-standing collaboration between the Khanom Power Plant and Marine Police Station 4, Division 6, of the Marine Police Bureau. The project’s primary goal is to continuously reduce drowning deaths and improve the swimming skills of children and youth in the Khanom area.
